2009- Larkin Ingrassia, PLLC recently settled a negligence action against the United States of America under the Federal Torts Claims Act on behalf of a construction worker who was injured at West Point while he was moving a piece of equipment that was owned by the federal government. The plaintiff claimed that the equipment had been improperly maintained by the government and was hazardous as a result. He suffered a large herniated disc in his lower back, resulting in a laminectomy and diskectomy. The case settled for $650,000.
